Sunday School
Registration for our 2016-2017 program year will begin in August!
Sunday School at St. Paul’s is offered on most Sundays for kids in Pre-K through High School.
All classes begin at 9:40 a.m. (immediately following the 8:45 service) on most Sundays during the program year and end at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Pre-K through 2nd Graders ("Chapel Kids")
- Meet in the ground floor classrooms
- Follow the Spark! curriculum, telling the story of God’s people from Old to New Testament, following the progression of the church year.
- Kids spend the first 20 minutes in their classroom, then go as a class to Children’s Chapel
- Parents are asked to pick up kids from their classrooms at 10:30 (please do not take children directly from Children’s Chapel but wait until they have returned to their class)
- Children in kindergarten and older are also invited to be a part of our Canterbury Choir, which rehearses most Sundays at 10:45 am. No previous musical experience is necessary.
3rd through 6th Graders
- Meet on the 3rd floor (except 6th graders, who are on the 2nd floor)
- Follow the Spark! lectionary curriculum which focuses on the weekly readings featured during worship
- Kids are invited to be a part of our Canterbury Choir, which rehearses most Sundays at 10:45 a.m. No previous musical experience is necessary.
- Older elementary kids are also invited to be a part of our acolyte corp
7th and 8th Grade Confirmation Class
- Confirmation is a two year process at St. Paul’s, following the "I Will with God’s Help" curriculum, which focuses on the Baptismal Covenant and the promises made
- Confirmation also requires participation in monthly class worship, regular community service/outreach opportunities and a retreat at the end of the 7th grade year
- Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended that Confirmands serve as acolytes in worship and attend JR EYC (youth group) events regularly
- Confirmation typically meets in the Conference Room and lounge (although locations may change to adapt to class size)
High School Youth Forum
- This informal discussion looks at current topics through the lens of faith
- Youth are also invited to take part in the planning process in preparing for our annual Mission Trip, which is open to ANY youth and their friends who are rising 9th graders or older
- Youth Forum gathers in the Youth Room on the 2nd floor
