Children and Youth
People may say, “Children are the future of the church,” but at St. Paul’s, children and youth are the HERE and NOW of the church! Young people are fully engaged in every aspect of our parish life together. Children and teens know they are welcome and valued. They know it when they glorify God in our worship as acolytes, choir members and Praise Band players. They know it when they participate in our Outreach efforts, whether cooking meals, collecting money, planting seedlings, wrapping gifts or going on Mission Trips. They know it when they are part of our Pastoral Care efforts, making cards for the homebound and supporting each other through the tribulations of teenage life. They know it when they contribute ideas and energy to our fabulous Vacation Bible Camp programs. They know it when they find fellowship among their church friends – who may come from other schools and communities.
The goal of Children’s and Youth Ministries is to make sure that every young person who walks through our doors feels a sense of love and acceptance. We offer a different narrative from the achievement-oriented sense of value demanded by the wider world. Here at St. Paul’s, young people are loved and celebrated as they are, beloved as children of God.
St. Paul's Children's Ministry encompasses Sunday School, St. Paul's Nursery School, Girl Scouts, Vacation Bible Camp and fun activities throughout the year.
In St. Paul's Youth Ministry, one can get involved through Confirmation, the Praise Band and other musical outlets, acolytes, our Mission Trips, volunteer opportunities and more.
