Support West Virginia Reading Camp
Support literacy efforts by our friends in West Virginia! Each year, Highland Educational Project (HEP) hosts a summer reading camp for 2nd through 4th graders. Although our Mission Trip team will be gone by the time Reading Camp starts, we would like to support their efforts by donating new and gently used chapter books for young readers. This will expand the library at HEP and allow children to take home a book. Please drop off books on the pew outside the communications office. Mark book donations "Reading Camp." For suggestions, please see the recommendations on our website. We must have the books by our departure date of June 12 so we can take them with us! Please note - only books for young readers are needed at this time. Please do not donate dictionaries, encyclopedias or other reference books. Thank you for your generosity!
Here are some suggested book lists from the Mt. Lebanon Public Library:
Chapter Books for Grades 2 through 5
Books for Grades 1 and 2
Books for Grades 3 and 4
Books for Grades 5 and 6
