Personnel Announcements
I am terribly sad to announce that Lisa Brown is going to be leaving her employment with St. Paul's in a two-step process starting September 1 and concluding by the end of the calendar year. First she will step down as Director of Children's Ministry, and later as Director of Communications.
At the same time, I am very pleased to announce that Kristen Morgan will succeed Lisa as Director of Children's Ministry. Kristen has served as Sunday School teacher and Assistant for Children's Ministry, and is an active member of St. Paul's along with her husband Doug and two sons, Dylan and Noah. If anyone can successfully follow Lisa, it's Kristen, who loves the children of St. Paul's and understands the importance of building relationships with children, their parents, newcomers, and teachers. We are also fortunate that she is so familiar with our children's programs, having worked side-by-side with Lisa and our teachers.
I am also very pleased to announce that Erin Morey will serve as Director of Communications upon Lisa Brown's departure from the St. Paul's staff. Erin currently serves as a member of the Vestry and is Chair of the Social Justice Commission. Erin has a love and passion for St. Paul's and our mission and ministries. She loves telling the St. Paul's story of God's love for all through Jesus Christ and God's mission of forgiveness, justice, reconciliation, and peace. Now she will have an even greater opportunity for sharing our story with the congregation and broader community through the various communications platforms of St. Paul's. Please join me in thanking Erin for her enthusiastic willingness to take on this challenging position and for this significant step in her journey.
Lisa has accepted a position in the private sector. As Lisa has become increasingly known in the broader Episcopal Church, she has an opportunity to broaden her ministry by working with parishes around the country through Membership Vision, the organization that has developed our new website, and by writing and promoting two books on Christian formation. The good news is that Lisa will not be relocating, and will continue to be an active member of St. Paul's, including her role as confirmation class and Girl Scout leader.
Blessings,
The Rev. Lou Hays
