Music Notes - Our Summer of Fantastic Music Continues
This summer we have enjoyed outstanding worship music and concerts. Musical guests in June and our own talented parish musicians in June and July made our worship truly joyful, In August we offer the first concert in our new season of the Friends of Music Guild Concert Series and in August liturgies feature the artistry of parishioners Dawn Paulus on cello and David Piecka on horn.
For the most part, this music article presents events that begin our program year and extends to you our annual invitation to join a parish music ensemble.
St. Paul’s Music Ministry offers a diverse and notable array of musical styles illustrating the breath of our ministry in response to parish mission and vision for great worship music that makes our worship “truly joyful!” We also offer a series of concerts through our Friends of Music Guild Concert Series. Listed in next month’s Messenger article will be our concert offerings for the 2016-2017 program year. These concerts feature an abundance of St. Paul’s talent, guest artists and our wonderful organ in a resonant performance space.
Kicking off the Guild Concert Series will be the first of three performances by our Choral Arts Ensemble in Residence, Voces Solis- otherwise know in the summer as Summer Singers!
