A message from our new Senior Warden
It is a great honor to be selected by the Rector as your new Senior Warden. We are entering a period of change, promise, hope, and (yes) anxiety as we transition next year to a new Rector. But knowing the people of St. Paul's as well as I do, I am comfortable that we are up to the challenges.
My job is a bit easier because you have elected an incredibly talented Vestry: Peter Balfe, Louise Cannon, Bob Johnston, Eric Linn, Erin Morey, Karen Schneider, Annette Shimer, Pat Eagon Stafford, Mark Tranquilli, Mark Vito, and Ell Vines.
This Saturday, your Vestry will go on Retreat with the clergy to plan for the coming year and beyond. The strength of this parish is reflected in the clergy, staff, and so many wonderful volunteers who contribute to the diverse programs and ministries of St. Paul's. Our goal as a Vestry is to help sustain, strengthen, and grow these missions.
With respect to the search for a new Rector, we are only just beginning that process. The Vestry will appoint a Search Committee in the weeks ahead, and I invite you to submit your name for consideration. We need a diverse group of all ages, backgrounds, experiences, and talents. Please don't hold back if you'd like to be part of this important process.
Finally, I know you will join me in thanking Mark Vito for his service as Senior Warden over the last two years. The good news is that Mark remains on the Vestry, so we can continue to tap his considerable talents.
While the clergy should always be your first point of contact, whenever you have any suggestions or concerns about St. Paul's that involve the Vestry, feel free to reach out to any of the 12 of us.
We look forward to an exciting year ahead.
Sincerely,
Jon Delano
Senior Warden
